The Aslan Alliance proposes to host a series of seminars, conferences, and round tables on the issues of “Ethnic Identity, Nationality and Citizenship,” “Conflict Resolution Within Multi-Ethnic Communities,” “The New Great Game Geopolitics in Kyrgyzstan,” and a continuing series on “Religion in an Open Society, ” to begin with.

These open forum discussions will be complemented by online chat rooms and multi-media presentations. These virtual discussions will be based on the “Speakers’ Corner” in London, England and you will be able to choose the language of your forum: English, Russian or Kyrgyz. Come speak your mind freely on issues of culture, religion, ethnic identity, ethnic conflict, ethnonationalism, the formation of nations in the former Soviet Union, regional stability in Central Asia, the war in Afghanistan, the war against terrorism, etc. But please, no “flame wars” allowed – no ethnic, religious or racial slurs, or personal insults.

The goal of this discussion is to probe the minds of individuals and generations and develop a deeper understanding of how a new culture is formed.
